On May 18th,Office of International Exchange and Cooperation invited the guests from the Confucius Institute at Central State University of Connecticut, US to pay a visit to a primary school in Dongming county to carry out English teaching activities. Dongming county TV Station conducted a full interview on the event.

The welcoming ceremony was hosted by Hao Yingwei. Mayor of Xiaojing Town Liu Minxiang, English Backbone teachers and all staff of the primary school attended the welcoming ceremony. Ms. Awilda Reasco, Ms. Mei Zongxiang,from Central State University of Connecticut presented the English books to the primary school.Zhou Lianyong, the director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation donated the Oxford English-Chinese dictionaries tothe primary school. Hao Yingwei expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Confucius Institute and Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.

The guests from the Confucius institute entered the English class and carried out group learning with American teaching characteristics. The pupils looked at the guests with surprise and curiosity, and warmly greeted them in English.

The visit was to make more foreigners truly feel the development of China and the change in China,to enhance American students' understanding of China's national conditions and Chinese culture.Said Zhou Lianyong ,director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.
